Mybeerbuzz was initially built using all free tools from Google, and even I was surprised at how popular the site became in just a year or two.
As the years rolled on, seventeen of them to be exact, I started to encounter issues related to my hosting choice. As some of you may know, mybeerbuzz.com actually has lived at mybeerbuzz.blogspot.com. While this has been convenient (and free), the use of a blogspot domain has limited the growth and success of mybeerbuzz.com. The use of a blogspot domain has also minimize the authority or seriousness of the site….and finally, the use of a blogspot domain was killing our SEO.
In early 2025, I began to realize that I had taken the free blogspot site as far as it could go, and if I wanted to continue, I’d have to make a big change. With that in mind, I decided to make a huge move and completely migrate mybeerbuzz.blogspot.com to mybeerbuzz.com and completely migrate from blogspot to a fully hosted CMS-based site.
What that means to you:
- Pretty much nothing! Just remember to browse to mybeerbuzz.com and not mybeerbuzz.blogspot.com.
This move will set the stage for future growth, future sponsorship opportunities and much better SEO rankings…but keep in mind, this is a tricky move so I thank you in advance for your patience.
